Please be prompt in picking up your child as our instructors have commitments after class.

Important information:

  1. Please be sure to log onto Dismissal Manager each week to record your child(ren)’s WOW! after-school activity. Please note that the system allows you to record your child’s activity for the entire session at one time and then make edits if, and when, necessary.  Please indicate if anyone other than yourself will be picking up your child at dismissal time. Additionally, given our unpredictable Weston weather, please indicate what your child’s dismissal plans are in the event of an unplanned after school activities cancellation.
  2. In the event of an early dismissal due to inclement weather or any other school emergency, all after-school programs will be canceled and children will be sent home per regular school dismissal plans. In the event of a cancellation, we will send a reminder via email and also post this information on the Weston Youth Services website. If we are unable to contact you in the case of a last minute cancelation by an instructor, children will stay in the main office with the WOW! assistant until a parent arrives.  We will make every effort to make up missed classes due to cancellations.
  3. There is no nurse on duty after normal school hours. In the event of illness or emergency treatment, we will call 911 and then contact parents, or the emergency contact if necessary. If your child has any special medical needs, please contact Charlene Monn at 203-222-2586 prior to the start of the session.
  4. Weston Youth Services reserves the right to cancel a class due to lack of student enrollment.
  5. If a student is dismissed for disciplinary reasons or withdraws from the school or the program, the entire program fee is forfeited.

Instructor:
Hilary Misiano is a Mindful Schools Certified Instructor and has been practicing Mindfulness for over 5 years.
If you count the mindfulness she learned in other contemplative practices, then she’s been at this a really long time!
Soon after she was introduced to the formal practice of Mindfulness, she knew she wanted to teach children.
The gift of having a child tell her they feel calm and relaxed after practicing mindfulness is the greatest gift ever!
She’s also into making jewelry (also a mindful act), creating handcrafted body products and having fun getting
to know her new town of Weston and surrounding area.

Paint Draw & More is proud to have perfected the art of igniting young artists’ creative instincts. Our fun and informative drawing classes for older children are specially designed to build on their knowledge of drawing and to teach them technical skills as they develop their unique style. This intermediate school drawing class will provide a variety of drawing mediums for children to explore and learn new techniques. We encourage students to work on their drawings, enhancing them with their own ideas and knowledge to best achieve their vision. Whether your child is returning to Paint Draw & More or is a new student, we are happy to add to their already developing library of skills.
Instructor:
With a degree in molecular and cell biology, Anastasia Gussen is also trained in all traditional types of media; pen and ink, pencil, charcoal, paint and photography. She has participated in invitation only life drawing classes and has completed a graphic design program at Pratt Institute.
