Are you interested in building your child’s self-confidence, self-respect, and self-esteem?
Would you like to learn some tips and tools to help support your child’s growth and development?
Do you wonder what’s “typical tween” behavior versus
what’s cause for concern?
Weston Youth Services is collaborating with Positive Directions to offer the nationally acclaimed family enrichment program, “CREATING LASTING FAMILY CONNECTIONS” (CLFC). CLFC was a recent winner of the prestigious national Science to Service award in recognition of its success in teaching parents effective approaches to prevent risky behaviors, promote resilience, and enhance family and community relationships.
The CLFC workshop series will be offered to parents of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students and will teach practical parenting tools for the “tween” years. Participating in CLFC also provides a unique community network, and helps to forge relationships with other parents as your children move through WIS and into middle school.
Workshops will be co-facilitated by Katie Fitzgerald, LMFT, and Michelle Albright, PhD, and will meet weekly for six sessions. Registration fee includes the CLFC guide and refreshments.
